Check your manual to see how to flush the gas and water tubing to possibly clear any debris.

However this is a sign that you have your water heater temperature set too high.
Okay but what if you get through each of these steps and still can t figure out what s wrong.
If you are utilizing a tankless water heater and its gas powered then you should check to see if there are any damaged parts inside the casing of the water heater.
Check for any corroded or damaged working parts.
When rv water heater troubleshooting check to verify the area near the water heater is cleaned out and free of debris.
The last step of the rv water heater troubleshooting process is to turn off the lp system to check for a spark.
This video will show you a few steps to go through and look out for if your rv hot water heater will not ignite or turn on.
Make sure both the gas and electric switches are in the off position and wait a while for water to cool down.
Reduce the temperature settings on your water heater and this should correct the problem.
You will want to have a nice blue flame that is lighter in the center and not jumping around.
